Many of our clients are asking us how they can use Floor Plan Mapper to display which employees are working remotely and are not present in the office. Fortunately, this functionality comes out of the box with Floor Plan Mapper. There are two ways to display an employee’s status:
- Pick a field in the Windows Active Directory or Office 365 that denotes an employees work location status. This can be a custom field, or, any existing field. Then, configure Floor Plan Mapper to symbolize those employees working at home, or remotely using a different colour.
- Using the Floor Plan Mapper Administration Tool, just add the letter ‘R’ to the office ID for the employees working remotely and Floor Plan Mapper will automatically show thos employees using a different colour.

That’s a great suggestion. To do so, just customize the profile field list to add in those attributes and you will be good to go.
